How the trade bot prices your offer
An eight percent fee on the value you give, and why that is still cheaper than dumping skins on the market.
The fee, in one line
You give skins worth $100 of trade credit, the bot can hand back up to $92 of its stock. The eight percent is taken from the value you offer, not from what you receive.
Trade credit is priced on the Steam market plus our spread, so the number on the card is the Steam number with the spread already applied.
Trade versus instant sell
Instant sell pays 72% of market value in cash-like balance and settles in one click. Trading keeps you inside the skin economy: you give up eight percent instead of twenty-eight, but you get skins back, not money.
If you want a different skin, trade. If you want the credit to spend freely, sell.
Building an offer that gets accepted
Match the totals first, then look at liquidity. A $200 knife is easier for the bot to hold than six $35 rifles, so knife-for-knife offers settle fastest.
Never fill the offer with items you would rather keep β the bot does not negotiate, and a trade you regret is a trade you asked for.
